Hi, my name is Verne Quentin Hoge. I was born in Bloomington, Illinois. Growing up, my family moved around a lot and we ended up living in Chester, Illinois where I graduated from high school. As a result of this move, I excelled in cross country and track and was recruited with the lure of an academic scholarship to Lindenwood University. In college, I continued to develop as an athlete. Our team earned our way to nationals in Lake Placid placing third. We also won three meets that year. When I was not involved in athletic pursuits, I served as a Student Ambassador, worked as a tutor in the tutoring center, and served as Treasurer for the computer club HyperLynx.
In addition to my on-campus activities, I was also active in community projects. I participated in the Living Lands and Waters Mississippi River Cleanup and aided the Missouri Disabled Water Ski Association with adaptive clinics.
After four years of study, I graduated with an A average from Lindenwood University with a B.A. majoring in Interactive Media and Web Design and minoring in History. I am currently looking for a full-time position that will enable me to learn from a senior designer. By doing so, I will find work I have a passion for.
